Why Working from Home Does Not Mean Working from Your Local Hotel’s Conference Room Recruiting Non-Qualified Prospects

There’s so many negative remarks online and offline about a home business. The first thing that pops up in someone’s head when they hear of an opportunity to stay home and generate money is their last memory of someone else dragging them to a hotel conference room and listening to someone they’ve never met pitching them on some “Miracle” solution to their “being broke” problem.

This utterly annoys me. With so much information and training available for someone to learn that people do not like to be forced into something they have no idea about, people still refuse to follow some simple business and ethic guidelines that will not only help themselves, but others that are in the same industry.

Now for those that have been shopping around at finding a legitimate way to make some extra cash from home or even a full-time income, let’s let the cat out of the bag.

You do not have to pitch a product or service to everyone that just blatantly looks at you or even tries to start a conversation with you.

Let me ask you this, when you made your last major purchase, did someone come up to YOU and try to sell you on it or did you come to a conclusion yourself and went out to search for that particular item?

Obviously, you had gone out that day with the intention of looking for more information about that item and made a decision to buy, ON YOUR OWN. Of course, there was a sales person there to help you through the process. But that’s where the concept of “Providing Value” comes into play.

You see, you weren’t forced to buy that item because marketing efforts were put into action that allowed you to see all the features, benefits, and resources you needed to make that final decision.

Getting the idea here?

In a home business, you shouldn’t have to “Trick” people into attending local meetings, getting on 3 way calls with someone that can pitch them even more aggressively than you can on your business, or even trying to convince them into grabbing one of your fliers or ads.

Working from home means exactly that, WORKING FROM HOME!
